Avant-Rus* is primarily a design company, which offers a variety of services in the field of graphic art. Avant-Rus offers its clients new concepts and ideas, taking them from a blank page to the finished product; it specializes in complex jobs, which include a number of related products. Coming to us is like changing your own image once and for all: new hairstyle, new wardrobe, new attitude and new horizons!

Avant-Rus works very closely with its clients, trying to understand their needs and desires, helping them to find a new direction, to move away from traditional approaches and to be more unique. Things move fast these days: old methods of advertising, tested and approved by the previous generations, are no longer valid. There is always time for experiments and new ideas, which can lead to unpredictable results. Our company can be a turning point for you.

Avant-Rus creates corporate identity packages, puts together catalogues and brochures, designs magazine and book covers, original postcards and invitations, as well as develops web sites, animations and other multimedia products. We cooperate with professional programmers and experienced printers.

Avant-Rus is a cross-cultural - Russian/American company, founded by an artist - Alyona Makeeva. She received her classical art training in St. Petersburg, Russia in such prestigious schools as Theater Academy and Cinema Engineering Institute. She was greatly influenced by Russian Avant-garde and, in particular, by the poster art of the early Soviet years. Later she continued her education in New York, studying modern art, design and multimedia, learning the new languages of communication. New York gave her classical training a fresh outlook and new attitudes.

Graphic design is becoming more and more important in our everyday lives. It surrounds us everywhere: in magazines we read, products we buy, restaurants we go to... There is hardly a place untouched by it in one or another way. It is an art form, yet it is so casual that it can not be treated as a sculpture or a painting. Design is used to make things attractive and appealing, but no one expects it to live through centuries. It is art for a day; it comes and goes. Yet it is important how our business card looks, when we hand it to someone, because it is the first impression we give of ourselves. It is exciting to receive a beautifully designed invitation that lures us somewhere. We get pleasure out of looking at nice catalogues and brochures, where pictures and objects seem to almost jump out at us.
