Avant-rus is a one designer showcase. Alyona Makeeva is a creative professional who lives and works in NYC. She received her fine art training in St. Petersburg, Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communication Major) from Hunter College, and Master of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute. In addition to that, she studied contemporary design in Denmark.  In the last 10 years, Alyona has been creating print and web products for a variety of clients, developing web sites, flash-generated showcases, corporate identities, advertisements, sales materials for financial, retail and other professional services. Recently she decided to add another dimension to her repertoire by turning to Industrial Design. Alyona received a special award for the Excellence of Design from the Society of Publication Designers. In 2007 she became a Merit Award Winner of Taiwan International Design Competition. Her works were published in ID Magazine, Black Book Magazine, Stagebill, Tango Magazine, 32nd Publication Design Annual, and in a number of web Design Portals.
